First constructed from Cornish and Devonshire stone over 200 years ago, this barn complex encircles a central courtyard offering a classic example of the architecture of the era. The barns have been modernised in recent years and today boast stylish and contemporary interiors while retaining their original character and charm.
Each of the barns has been restored in such a way as to reflect the evolution of the building over the centuries. Above head, stunning hand sawn timbers, rafters and purlins have all been retained along with many of the original features of the dairy. Whilst the floors have all been kitted out with underfloor heating, and a stylish apartment style aesthetic that looks more New York studio than cutesy Devon barn! The “rawness” of the design emphasizes the luxurious accommodation with bathrooms featuring chic Italian marble bathtubs and the bedrooms adorned with crisp white linens.
For all except one of the barns there is a fold out sofa that can accommodate an extra two guests, meaning a total of twenty can stay at the barns, making them perfect for a group made up of small families travelling with children. Many of the suites and cottages have their own kitchens and can be configured in a variety of ways making them ideal for a variety of group sizes.
***The Barns are located next to Landscove House, and can be rented together for an incredible wedding or celebration. There is a professional kitchen, and spectacular big barn with glass roof for entertaining.
