Just 500m away from one of Portugal’s (if not the world’s) most beautiful beaches, Praia da Marinha, Villa Laranja is both well equipped and enviably located. This magnificent 4-bedroom villa sits in its peaceful gardens filled with almond and fig trees and offers the use of a private 7m x 4m swimming pool.
Situated on a hilltop 8km from the centre of Carvoeiro, Villa Laranja is ideal for exploring the area’s beaches and caves. It offers beautiful sea views and plenty of outdoor space, with a covered dining area and barbecue, large lawns and a spacious pool terrace with sun loungers.
You can access the split-level, open-plan living area directly from the terrace, which itself offers lots of seating. Inside, you have a TV and DVD, a wood-burning stove, a dining table and chairs and a kitchen. This is equipped with a fridge freezer, dishwasher, and smaller appliances like a coffee machine, kettle and toaster.
The villa includes four bedrooms which offer flexibility to configure them as needed. Two of the bedrooms have twin beds, and the other two have three single beds. There’s also an additional room with a small sofa-bed and three bathrooms. All of the bedrooms are made even more comfortable with air-conditioning, the use of which is included.
Nearby Carvoeiro is a popular resort with excellent amenities. It’s great for dining, with recommended restaurants, and also for nightlife – there are numerous bars and clubs, both lively and laid-back, to discover.
Its beaches are perhaps the main reason to visit, including centrally-located Praia do Carvalho, Praia de Benagil and the beautiful Praia da Marinha. Water-sports lovers will particularly enjoy the beautiful surroundings, but if you want to enjoy the views, you can do so in style from the clifftop Carvoeiro Boardwalk.
The larger city of Portimão is only 10km away, with Lagoa and picturesque Silves not far north. You could also head to the mountains of Monchique or pretty Alvor, not far from Portimão.
