Description

Villa Mediterraneo is located strategically between the sea and the hills. On a hillside 124 feet above sea level, it commands a spectacular Mediterranean vista. Its views stretch down to the farthest mountains of the Calabria region on one side and as far as the Cape of the Infreschi and the wild coastal tract between Scario and Marina di Camerota on the other side. Two-thirds of the estate is covered by lush woodland, thick with cork oak, a plant typical of the surrounding environment that stretches along the coastline of the Bay of Policastro between S. Marina and Sapri. Surrounded by a large enclosed garden, Villa Mediterraneo is the perfect accommodation for families and children. Pets are allowed. Villa Mediterraneo was built in 1992 and since has been re-decorated yearly. It is comprised of 3 different apartments, all with a view of the sea, and always rented collectively. The property is ideal for families or groups who wish to holiday together but also have their space. The beach at Villammare is only 800 metres away and in the summer has lively beach cafes and facilities. The village centre offers a small selection of bars and restaurants. Nearby Sapri is a larger town with excellent train links to Salerno and Naples. Inland, the charming hilltop village of Vibonati is lit in ever-changing colours during the balmy summer evenings. Villammare itself sits at the southernmost point of the Cilento National Park – the second-largest in Italy, stretching across a vast mountain range and an important ecological area with abundant wildlife. There are many historical sites to visit, from the famous and impressive Certosa monastery at Padula to the Ancient Greek temples at Paestum and the atmospheric, abandoned village of San Severino di Centola. Natural sites include the enchanting Hair of Venus waterfalls (Cascate di Venere) half an hour away at Casaletto Spartano, the Grotte di Castelcivita caves inland, and the Capo Palinuro sea caves, and numerous other places. ** Please note the property is positioned close to the Amalfi Coast but is actually located in Salerno Province ** /n Security deposit /n €1000 paid in cash to the owner upon arrival and refunded upon departure, subject to full inspection. /n Arrival time /n 4.00 pm /n Departure time /n 10.00 am /n Energy costs included? /n Yes. /n Linen & towels included? /n Yes, excluding pool towels. /n Pets welcome? /n On request only and with prior agreement with the owner. /n Other Ts and Cs /n “Villa Mediterraneo” reserves the right for itself and for its representatives and appointees to access to the property for the regular maintenance of the external areas, of the equipments and of the swimming pool.
