Dimora La Scarcella occupies an idyllic spot at the heart of a picturesque olive grove, with the city of Ostuni just a short drive away. This villa offers a truly tranquil escape, with all the sights and smells of the olive grove making you feel utterly relaxed and away from it all.
The laidback feel of the villa is enhanced by the soothing, natural shades used throughout its rooms. Cosy and comfortable, the living space features two sofa beds for evenings spent unwinding, as well as offering additional sleeping options. Sharing the space is a dining table, with the fully-equipped kitchen close by for total ease and convenience.
The two double ensuite bedrooms have calming views over the olive tree-dotted outside space, making them the perfect thing to wake up to after a restful night’s sleep. There’s a well-appointed family bathroom for the use of all guests.
A separate property, or ‘lamia’, as it’s known as in Puglia, offers independent accommodation, with a double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living/dining space.
The plot that both properties share features a walled garden with a large, private pool set within a lush lawn. There are several sun loungers for chilling out on and plenty of trees offering shady spots in which to pass lazy afternoons. The partially-covered terrace by the main villa is where you can enjoy al fresco meals at the large dining table, with an outdoor kitchen and barbecue. Wherever you choose to spend your time, when evening starts to falls you’ll be in awe of the breathtaking sunsets on show.
Within the vast grounds is a vegetable garden from which you can enjoy some delicious produce. Just strolling around the rambling olive grove is an experience, with even more countryside to explore in the surrounding area. Walk and cycle along pretty trails and through lush hills to get a feel for the laidback atmosphere and naturally beautiful landscapes.
Known as ‘The White City’ due to the whitewashed homes in its old town, Ostuni is just a 10-minute drive away. Do some historical sightseeing in this hilltop maze of narrow streets and marvel at stunning views over the Adriatic Sea. Also close by is what’s known as the Ostuni coast, with scenic beaches to enjoy at spots such as Lido Morelli and Quarto di Monte. /n Security deposit /n €500 paid in cash to the owner upon arrival and refunded upon departure, subject to full inspection.
