Set in the heart of the Chianti countryside with sweeping views to San Gimignano, Dimora Della Nobildonna is an enchanting Tuscan villa steeped in history. Part of a grand estate, its origins trace back to the early 1200s, with one of the five bedrooms housed in a 13th-century tower complete with a private roof terrace. Once a hunting lodge, the villa was later transformed into the elegant residence it is today—so captivating that Julia Roberts became one of its first guests.
In the same family for over 150 years, the villa offers a warm welcome for families, friends, or wedding guests. The dedicated staff provide daily maid service and a continental breakfast, while other services such as private cooking, bike hire, and excursions can be arranged.
Inside, the villa is rich in character, with terracotta floors, wooden beams, grand fireplaces, and period artwork. Each of the six bedrooms has a private or en suite bathroom, three with jacuzzi tubs, and the Julia Roberts suite features a romantic balcony.
Outside, enjoy an aperitivo in the limonaia lounge, relax under the shaded terrace, or take in the countryside from the swimming pool. Children can enjoy table football or explore the expansive gardens surrounded by the estate’s olive groves, vineyards, and sunflower fields. The estate also produces its own wine, olive oil, and honey.
A restaurant-bar is within walking distance, and the nearby medieval village offers shops, restaurants, and a Saturday market. A local train station makes day trips to Florence and Siena easy.
