This wonderful farmhouse sits within the grounds of a magnificent 17th century estate. It is set in lovely hedged gardens and makes the perfect base to explore the Bayeux Tapestry, Monet's Garden, and the landing beaches. It is only a 14km-drive from Honfleur and 30km from Deauville.
The farmhouse, which has its own entrance and pretty valley views, is surrounded by orchards (for cider and calvados) and grazing land with cows. It has space for up to 10 guests across its five pretty bedrooms and four bath or shower rooms. You will also find an inviting living room as well as a characterful kitchen and dining room, perfect for preparing Normandy feasts to enjoy with your family or friends.
The farmhouse stands adjacent to the owner's neighbouring 9-bedroom château, which can be rented separately or both properties can be booked together for up to 28 guests (see Domaine Du Pont: Entire Estate) with a pathway and gate connecting the two. The whole estate has a fascinating history since it was originally built in the 16th century and enlarged in around 1720 - in more recent times the neighbouring château has played host to guests such as the Aga Khan and the Dalai Lama. /n Security deposit /n £500 charged to client's credit card by Oliver’s Travels as a pre-authorisation at least 2 weeks prior to arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection. Any extra charges such as heating costs will be deducted from the security deposit. /n Arrival time /n 5.00 p.m. onwards. /n Departure time /n 10.00 a.m. /n Energy costs included? /n Heating is charged to expenditure if needed. Flexible in all other periods. /n End of stay cleaning included? /n Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit. /n Smoking Allowed? /n Outside only. /n Insurance /n Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, personal belongings, public liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay. /n Minimum stay /n 7 nights in July and August, Christmas and New Year. 4 nights in all other periods.
