Saint Germain

Saint Germain is Paris' boho-chic district, famous for its café culture. Situated on the left bank of the Seine, Saint Germain maintains intellects' cafés from last century, for example Les Deux Magots, once frequented by Hemingway, Sartre and Picasso. It is full of Parisian charm, explore an array of art galleries, boutiques, modern cuisine, cafes, and busy night spots and bars when the sun goes down. For a quieter atmosphere in Paris the Luxembourg palace and gardens are also located in this district. Built for Marie de Medicis in the early 17th Century, the ‘Jardin du Luxemberg’ is a peaceful sprawling beauty after a busy day.

Description

In a classic early 1900s building, exclusively located opposite the Musée d'Orsay, this lovely apartment has just been completely and elegantly renovated to create the perfect space for families or larger groups. An elevator takes you up to this unusually spacious three bedroom, three bathroom apartment, in the heart of the art and antique district of Paris, in Saint-Germain des Prés.

The apartment has three large and bright bedrooms, all with king beds and their own private bathrooms, combining beautiful original features with modern comforts. The fully equipped kitchen with its lovely moulded ceiling, black handmade tiles and all new appliances has a refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, coffee maker, toaster and all utensils necessary for cooking and eating. The kitchen is open onto a dining room with ornate fireplace and dining table and chairs for 8 people, perfect for dinner parties or family gatherings. From here the dining room leads onto the comfortable living room with its luxurious sofas and furnishings, and tall windows overlooking the Musée d'Orsay, creating the perfect backdrop and flooding the apartment with natural light. In addition to these living spaces, there is a further cosy office space with desk, computer with WIFI, and sofa.

Each of the three king-sized bedrooms enjoys purpose built and elegant wardrobes and en suite bathrooms. All of the bathrooms have been designed and finished to the highest standards, with carefully chosen faucets and beautiful pebble floors and wall tiles, highlighted by complementary colors in the bedrooms. Two of the full bathrooms have big showers, whilst the third has a large bathtub with an enclosed American shower above, and its WC located separately (ideal if you have extra guests). We supply white fluffy towels, liquid soap, and a hair dryer in each bathroom.

A separate laundry room is an added benefit of this apartment, enabling the top-of-the-range washing machine and dryer to be tucked away from the living spaces, and also providing additional storage for suitcases. The apartment is also equipped with a large flat screen TV with cable, WIFI and computer, and telephone for your use. Views are either across the narrow street to the Musée d'Orsay, or onto a tranquil inner courtyard, making this centrally located apartment calm and light.

To ensure your comfort, the apartment is also fully heated and air conditioned for the summer.

Service: We will be at hand to meet and settle you into the apartment, answer questions and help out in any way we can. We can make restaurant, theater and activity reservations and recommendations. As we live in Paris we will happily share our knowledge, insight and experience with our guests.

The rental price is all inclusive, including fresh flowers, French wine and croissants upon arrival, a computer with high-speed internet access, all electricity and heating charges, sheets, bathrobes, towels, liquid soap and staples in the kitchen (salt, pepper, bottled water, coffee, tea, sugar and more).

This completely new three bedroom, three bathroom apartment is characterized by its generous feeling of understated luxury. Each room has been carefully and tastefully decorated and furnished to give an individual flavor, whilst the subtle use of color and parquet flooring which flows throughout, creates an harmonious, warm and welcoming ambience, in which you feel instantly at home. Here one truly feels a part of a real French neighborhood while experiencing the magical city of Paris.

Situated in an exclusive and sought after location in St Germain des Prés on the left bank, this is the heart of Paris fashion, galleries, antique shops, traditional market streets and restaurants. As well as the Musée Rodin and the Musée d'Orsay, the Luxembourg Gardens and its museum are in Saint Germain. From this incredible neighborhood you can walk to most Parisian sites on both the left and the right bank, and if public transportation is your choice, there are many Métro lines and buses that come through the area.

Just around the corner from your apartment, on rue du Bac and rue de Verneuil, you will find a fabulous cheese shop, famous patisserie and bakery, a butcher, fresh fruit and vegetables, an artisan chocolate maker, wine merchant and delicatessen, as well as two small supermarkets, all within 5 minutes walk of your apartment.
