Montmartre

Montmartre is Paris' most unique of arrondissements, thanks to hilly setting around the Sacré Coeur and its history in music and the arts. It is famous for its Place du Tertre which is always busy with budding painters. Its narrow streets lead up to the Sacré Coeur cathedral at its crest, with grassy parks overlooking Paris the Sacre-Coeur basilica and the surrounding streets. It is still incredibely charming and the view from the stairs of the basilica will absolutely stun you. There are many interesting boutiques, great cafes, restaurants and bars to be found on the walk around the streets of Montmartre. Live jazz in Montmartre is always at hand and of course it is home to the famous cabaret the Moulin Rouge.

Lovely, modern apartment in a gorgeous old building! Within walking distance to all attractions we wanted, our host and the concierge were most helpful and flexible. Such a good price for a wonderful place to stay, would highly recommend. Amy
