The tiny village is full of charm with inscriptions on the facades of many of the historical houses. Head down to the bottom of valley to visit the old laundry which was still used up until mid 20th century and is now protected as part of the village’s important heritage. Within 5km you can drive to Treigny where you will a restaurant and little supermarket as well as an impressive church or head north to discover Saint-Fargeau with its magnificent castle and Toucy with its picturesque weekly market on a Saturday morning. Exploring further afield will take you to charming villages and market towns such as Sancerre with its fine wines, Briare on the banks of the Loire or a little further to the famous hilltop town of Vézelay. The spectacular cities of Auxerre, Nevers and Orléans can be visited within a day or you may prefer to spend your time exploring magical castles, discovering idyllic vineyards or taking a boat trip or hiring canoes down the Loire or Yonne rivers.
