The magnificent Château d’Aleny is in the heart of beautiful Burgundy, near some of France’s very best vineyards. With glorious gardens and furnished to a beautiful standard, this magical place is ideal for the perfect wedding or simply a memorable holiday in this captivating region.
Dating back to the 18th Century, the chateau has been lovingly renovated by well-known designers and the result is a classical home with modern and high-end features. Antique furnishings, traditional fireplaces and original features throughout complement contemporary touches such as the state-of-the-art kitchen, individually styled bedrooms and modern bathrooms, including a wonderful suite ideal for a bridal couple.
Modern amenities include heating throughout, making it an ideal place all year round, as well as super-fast Wi-Fi and Satellite TV. This said, most of the time you will be wanting to make the most of the glorious grounds, 40 hectares of private parkland featuring woods as well as French style gardens. The more energetic guests can play tennis in the new courts or dip into the 16m long swimming pool overlooking the grounds.
The private chapel on the grounds is a picturesque place to get married whilst receptions can take place in the gardens or inside the Orangery. With a wedding planner linked to the chateau, Oliver’s Travels can advise you on all the details needed to plan your romantic Burgundy wedding.
This is a wine-lover’s paradise with Beaune, the wine-capital of the region, only 40-minutes away. In this area you can discover the world-famous Côte-d’Or vineyards and sample the very finest wines from the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits appellations. Discover some of the idyllic villages of the Route des Grands Crus such as Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard and Meursault, all within an hour’s drive.
Alternatively, stay closer to home where you can play golf, ride horses and hike through the spectacular scenery or visit pretty local villages, towns and chateaux. Chalon-sur-Saône and Jura are both fantastic places worthy of visiting, not forgetting the beautiful and historic city of Dijon, only an hour away. The local rivers are also great places for watersports or just a perfect picnic in serene surroundings.

The amount should be advised to you at the time of quoting. This covers the full cleaning of the chateau before arrival and at end of your stay as well as a brief daily maid service of the bedrooms (emptying the rubbish and changing bed linen mid-week). /n Other Ts and Cs /n Full service is mandatory during peak season. Outside the peak season, self-catering is possible (except for weddings) and you can also book the cook and maid service on a per-day or per-meal basis. /n Minimum stay /n From May to end of September: 3 nights. From October to March: 2 nights for holidays, 3 nights for weddings.
