Music, sports, arts, July is traditionally an eventful time of year. Amongst the Bastille day celebrations and the arrival of the Tour de France, Paris will also host the final of the soccer European cup.
Running from Saturday July 2nd to Sunday July 24th 2016, the 103th Tour de France will be made up of 21 stages and will cover a total distance of 3,519 kilometres. See the full route
Le Tour will finish in Paris with its arrival on the Champs Elysées on the Sunday 24th of July. It is always a very popular event.

It is the occasion of the traditional 'Bal des Pompiers", where exceptionally fire brigades open their door on the evening of the 13th of July to organize a ball. Fire works are also fired in the evening of the 13th usually from the Eiffel Tower.
The French forces are also celebrated with a public demonstration along the Champs Elysees on the morning of the 14th of July. The 14th is a public holiday and most shops such as supermarkets will be closed. However it is a lively day where most Parisians will be out taking advantage of parks and museums.
For the soccer fans this is one of the most important tournaments after the world cup. Numerous games will be taking place all over France leading to the final in Paris on the 10th of July at the Stade de France. More about the euro 2016
An amusing and different way to approach a usual beach day. Every year, the right bank of the Seine river is cleared from the usual traffic and turned into a beach with 5000 tonnes of sand and a number of activities to entertain all ages.
