Tuesday After a good night at Aimé, we'll ride through vineyards and and a green scenery. Stop at the abandoned hamlet of Campeau surrounded by the famous caws of Aubrac. Stop for the night at Colette in Aigues-Bonnes. Wednesday After a short ride, straight on his massif rock, will appear the castle of Puylaurens. This intact castle have been used until the French revolution. Our ride continues in the Rébenty valley up to the hamlet of Labau, where we are welcome by Paty, who breed Mérens horses. Thursday After being thru the large forest of Quirbajou, we'll arrive on the Puivert plater. Who never dreamt of crossing the elevating bridge of a castle and attach his horse in the vast yard of the fortress? You will experience that at the castle of Puivert. We'll spent the night in the village of Puivert at Michel and Françoise, artist-creators of puppets. Friday We'll go through a various range of scenery, the fertile Puivert valley, the forest of Picaussel, the breeding zone of the Sault plater, the Langarail Plater and its hugde panoramas on Lavelanet, the pog of Montségur and finally Comus, typical village at the border of Ariège. Saturday A little day full of sensations : the narrow gorges of Frau, the high hill of Pelay where our horse we'll demonstrate there braveness and finally Montségur imposing on its rock who have resisted to the invaders for years before a tragic end… You'll visit the castle and the village before a vehicle will bring you back to Cucugnan. Sentiers Cathares is probably the most famous and ancient horse hike of France. On theses old path you will go through the “vertigo citadel” that are Quéribus, Peyrepertuse, Puylaurens, Puivert and Montségur, you'll also experience the smell of Mediterranean and the changing scenery of forest and mountain.
