Description

This unique sixteenth century Mallorcan villa has been lovingly restored to respect its original character whilst offering the very highest standards of comfort. Just one kilometre from the charming seaside town of Port de Soller, you are surrounded by orange and lemon groves with stunning views of the beautiful countryside around you.

As soon as you walk in the history of the building surrounds you in the grand pebbled stone entrance with its own chapel that leads to an original olive press in the ‘Tafona’ room. You may be lucky enough to stay in the double ensuite bedroom with its own gallery overlooking the historical olive press.

As you wander around the home you will find charming spots to sit and relax with various living areas dotted across the villa, some with chimneys and fire-places. The main living room on the first floor offers contemporary furnishings, television and DVD and a music systems so you can enjoy modern living and comfort in characterful surroundings.

The master bedroom, on the raised ground floor, has a four poster bed and original stone walls with a window with shutters looking out to the lovely countryside views plus an ensuite bathroom. There are three further bedrooms on the first floor, all ensuite and all furnished with comfortable beds, clean white linen, ample storage and charming character.

For larger groups the second floor opens up as a self-contained apartment with more glorious views, two double ensuite bedrooms, its own well equipped kitchen and a lovely living area with a superb decked terrace. This area has an especially contemporary feel with large windows, lots of natural light, white washed walls and furnishings combined with beautifully cool stone walls.
There are various terraces outside allowing you to relax in style or dine as you wish plus the wonderful swimming pool overlooking the hills. Whether you seek sun or shade you can wander around the grounds and find the perfect spot to totally unwind in the beautiful surroundings.

Port de Soller is just five minutes by car on the rugged road out of the villas. This charming sea-side town is on the west Mallorcan coastline in a beautiful horseshoe harbour, surrounded by the Tramuntana mountains. There are two beaches – Platja d’en Repic beach which is popular with families and the closer Platja des Traves, where you can hire pedal boats.  There is a pedestrianized promenade with cafes, restaurants and shops and at the harbour you can spot luxury yachts, pleasure cruisers as well as fishing boats. 

The lovely town of Soller is just 5km away by tram or car. Here you will find cafes, bars and restaurants in the magnificent main square, Plaza de la Constitucion, which is also where the tram from the port drops you off. The bustling market day on Saturday is not to be missed and city lovers must take the old-fashioned train through the orange groves up to the magnificent city of Palma.

This area is a walkers paradise and many of the paths through the Serra de Tramuntana start or pass through the town. There are also many gentle walks for those less experienced yet still want to explore the beauty of this area. Bike rental is also possible and a good way to potter between the nearby villages or look for more challenging routes. /n Security deposit /n €1000, to be paid with final balance /n Other Ts and Cs /n Please note that when booking this villa for up to ten guests only five bedrooms will be opened for guests.
