Conveniently located and an excellent base for exploring Calpe, Villa Frederica isn’t far from anywhere. Just five kilometres in from the coast, this private villa and pool are ideal for two families sharing, or if you’re travelling with grandparents.
Sleeping up to eight people, the accommodation is all on one level. Villa Frederica is cosy and cheerful. The lounge-diner adjoins the kitchen with an open hatch and breakfast bar, making this an open, sociable space for sharing a meal together or to plan the next day’s adventures. The three bedrooms have a welcoming country house feel, with terracotta floors and white walls. There are two double rooms and a twin room with two sets of bunk beds. The main bathroom is fully tiled, and there’s an additional guest toilet.
Move outside onto your attractively arched terrace. Here’s where you’ll dine al fresco in true Mediterranean style. Imagine morning coffee out here as the day wakes up, or a leisurely lunch in the cooling shade. It’s also the best seat in the house for admiring your view. From your slightly elevated position, you can see mountains in the distance and Calpe’s amazingly green hills in front of you, covered in olive groves, orchards and vineyards.
When you fancy a dip, take the few steps down to your outside terrace. Your beautiful private pool is a generous size and almost impossible to resist. Lovely tiled steps lower you into the refreshing water at one end, and it’s all yours. The whole family can swim and splash as much as they want all day long! Then pick a sun lounger and soak up the Costa Blanca sun – you can always cool off with the pool-side shower if the heat becomes too much.
You have plenty of beaches within a short drive from Villa Frederica. Playa de la Fossa is your closest. Calpe; a lively tourist destination famed for its sandy beaches, seafood restaurants and fascinating history, is where you’ll find shops, supermarkets, water sports and markets.
