Description

Villa Gouvia sleeps eight, across two double and two twin bedrooms. Situated in Gouvia just 15 minutes drive from Corfu Airport. The villa has a large pool and enjoys seaviews from the terrace. Starting outside, you’ll be hard pushed to find such a great outdoor area – the villa has a great garden, mainly laid to lawn, and a large terrace. The generous terrace is where you’ll find the swimming pool, with its super views out across the sea to the hills beyond. There are plenty of sunbed and umbrellas here, it’s a really lovely spot for those wanting to relax with a good book, or simply switch off completely and gaze out at the stunning surroundings.  There’s also a barbecue, complete with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen (refrigerator, and all utensils) – absolutely perfect for those of you wanting to buy the local ingredients and try out some dishes from the area.

Heading in at ground floor level, there is a largely open plan layout. The décor is chic and uncluttered but has comfortable touches, like Persian rugs and comfortable sofas. The spacious hall opens out to a lovely split-level living room - the lower level is the sitting area (with sofas, a piano, television, DVD, sound system and a marble fire place), while the upper level has a convenient office area if you do need to catch up on the outside world while you’re away. There’s a small sofa here too, so if work isn’t calling, you can at least cosy up with a good book and escape the main heat of the day.

From the hall, you’ll find the dining room – a fine room and, with room to comfortably seat ten, it’s a great entertaining space. Carry on through to the kitchen from here – which has its own smaller seating area and television.  The kitchen itself is well-equipped, as you would expect, with all the mod cons – refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine and tumble dryer.  There’s another table and chairs here too, the perfect spot for breakfast.

Each of the roomy bedrooms has French doors leading on to their own private balconies, complete with table and chairs; a super addition, meaning you can enjoy a peaceful morning coffee taking in the beautiful view, before the rest of the villa wakes up. One of the en-suite double bedrooms is on the ground floor, with the rest of the bedrooms up on the first floor. The large master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, balcony and even its own dressing room. The two twin rooms aren’t hard done by though as they too have their own balconies, and share a large bathroom. /n Security deposit /n €300, to be paid in cash upon arrival.
