Elegant architecture and streets in this “top end’ of the 2nd district”, it is an easy walk to many of Paris’s main sights and home to The Palais Royal gardens this area is a great place to sample a typical Parisian atmosphere, little passageways and arcades full of shops and small cafés abound. It is situated on the right bank of the Seine a few streets from the Montorgeuil area and its lively fresh food markets and atmosphere and in walking distance of the famous river.

We (2 Adults & 2 Children) stayed at the Rambuteau Apartment for 6 nights and had a wonderful, comfortable stay. The Apartment is in a Fantastic position, less than a minutes walk from the Rambuteau Metro station and the area is central to everything. If you choose to walk, within less than 10 mins you can arrive at the Seine or it's an easy walk to the Marais area and the Pompidou Centre is virtually across the road. Rue Rambuteau has everything you need for buying supplies. There is a supermarket directly opposite , a bread/pastry shop one side & a fruit & vegetable shop the other side of the apartment entrance. Fantastic! The beds are very comfortable all the apartment appliances work well. Free Wifi is included. I would happily recommend this apartment and if ever I am in Paris again, I would definitely stay again. Chris J - Melbourne, Australia.

I found The French Experience website easy to navigate and, after having stayed in the apartment, exactly as stated. I would recommend this site and will be using it again in the future. Linda, Frankston, Australia.

Great location at Rambuteau. close to the Metro and shops. Every effort has been made to modernise an old building and everything was clean and comfortable. Would recommend. Vivien, Melbourne

Our stay in this lovely apartment was wonderful. The apartment was as described and the location was beyond our expectations. So easy to get anywhere using metro or bus. The wonderful patisserie, fruit and vegetable stores and cafes just out the door gave us a true French experience. Thank you. Janice, Queensland

It was exactly the French apartment experience we were after and was better than expected in real life! Rita

This Casual and Bohemian style vacation rental, in the Marais, multiplies the touches of humor, but without entirely discarding its innate style: the beautiful herringbone parquet, the wrought iron decorative gates to the windows, the superb Black chimney and, here and there, nice vintage furniture, all know how to keep a very Parisian elegance.
You enter this Casual and Bohemian style vacation rental by the kitchen area of the main room, which also includes a dining area, and a large living room. To the right, a door leads to the first double bedroom, which communicates with the bathroom. At the end of the living room on the right is the second double bedroom, which also opens onto the white bathroom, pleasantly lit by a window with frosted glass panes.
The kitchen area is well equipped, in a contemporary style that combines white counters, details of steel and facing in blond wood, with an original corner sink. The dining area has the same Scandinavian note, in white and birch wood, with nice furniture with clean and functinoal lines. Thanks to this deliberate simplicity, nothing comes to hinder the effect of the superb antique herringbone floor.
As for the living room, a contemporary sofa and a charming old armchair maintain the minimalist spirit, while the beautiful black fireplace, on which is placed a magnificent old mirror, recalls the pedigree of this Casual and Bohemian style vacation rental. Above the sofa are posed pages of magazines and postcards, chosen for their sentimental value.
To the right of the entrance, the first double bedroom is furnished with great simplicity. Next to the bed, a small wooden chest of drawers gives a country feel, while on the wall, a color chart escaped from a paint store adds a touch of color with humor.
At the end of the living room, the second spacious double bedroom is not without humor, since empty frames over the headboard do not frame anything - but at the same time attract the attention to their beautiful matter, Patina and aged. In front of the bed, a slogan like tagged on the wall with the ribbon of sticky paper emphasizes again the irony characteristic of the place. The night tables, antique furniture, are guarantees of seriousness, and remind of their side all the touches of this apartment.
This holiday rental in the casual and bohemian style consists of:
  • 1 bedroom with a Queen size bed (160 x 200);
  • 1 bedroom with two single beds (2 x 90 x 200 or 180 x 200);
  • 1 double sofa bed (160 x 200) located in the living room;
  • 1 independent bathroom with toilet included.
This Casual and Bohemian style vacation rental is located on the edge of the Marais and Les Halles district, a few steps from the Pompidou Center and the Saint Merri Church. In flamboyant Gothic style, it dates from the 16th century. The remains of Saint Merri, or Saint Médéric, still rest today in the crypt of the church. He who was the Abbot of the Abbey of Saint-Martin d'Autun would have come to build a hermitage there before dying and being buried there in the year 700.
Another reminder of the medieval past of the district, the Tour Jean Sans Peur is the last vestige of the hotel of Burgundy, formerly residence of the Dukes of Burgundy. The tour of the tower, whose spiral staircase is a jewel of architecture, offers a fascinating panorama of the Middle Ages.
The Marais is certainly a sector with a rich history, but it will also always be the favorite area of the trendy bars, where one settles to see, be seen, have a drink and vibrate to the rhythm of the music. When you need a reliable bar, good spirits and good burgers, Workshop Paris is what you need.
The FLAQ Paris is the place of daring cultural and artistic experiments. Exhibitions, performances, concerts and screenings follow each other throughout the year, in the beautiful atmosphere of its retro living room or its vaulted stone cellar.
The Maison de la Poesie offers a carefully selected literary program, which knows how to find an exalting balance between experimental voices and famous figures. Organizing debates, readings and performances that give pride of place to authors, the place is a true home, a welcoming home of poetry and a demanding literature.
Where to eat ? For a healthy appointment with many “vegan” options, one goes to Café Pinson on rue du Forez, about ten minutes walk from this Casual and Bohemian style vacation rental. You will find a 100% organic kitchen, fruit and vegetable juices, dishes rich in super foods or raw.
The name of the restaurant Pain Vin Fromages is faithful to its program. From good bread to fine crust, quality wines, local cheeses, so: we come here to taste their "cheese master's plates", beautiful selections of cow cheeses, sheep and goat for a very  French meal.
At the height of chic, the tailor Blandin & Delloye offers tailor-made clothing, suits, shirts and overcoats made from noble materials. One also comes here to be advised and to define our look, or to choose some accessories that will complete the panoply of the elegant ones.
Much less serious, but equally French, the Petits Frenchies brand offers t-shirts and sweaters with irreverent slogans, which fit well with the spirit of this Casual and Bohemian style vacation rental. The showroom is located  on 3 rue de Palestro.
