Louvre - Place des Victoires

Elegant architecture and streets in this “top end’ of the 2nd district”, it is an easy walk to many of Paris’s main sights and home to The Palais Royal gardens this area is a great place to sample a typical Parisian atmosphere, little passageways and arcades full of shops and small cafés abound. It is situated on the right bank of the Seine a few streets from the Montorgeuil area and its lively fresh food markets and atmosphere and in walking distance of the famous river.

A great apartment with everything we needed for our family Winter holiday in Paris. Perfect location walking distance from so many major Paris attractions, all manner of shopping and a quick hop step and jump from the markets and patisseries of St Germain des Pres. A Metro station at the end of the street and a small supermarket in the street are the icing on the cake (not to mention the great "Steak Frites" restaurant and boulangerie around the corner!). Would definitely stay there again. Megan M.

Description

The apartment An atmosphere of calm and gentleness awaits you in this apartment on the banks of the seine. The soothing tones of a luminous gray are combined with pastel tones to offer a relaxing and romantic setting for your stay. The two bedrooms and the living room are furnished with a beautiful patinated solid wood flooring, parallel slats in the rooms for an ambience of rustic simplicity, point of Hungary in the living room, allied to ceiling moldings, for a touch of refinement. To the right of the entrance is the first double room, with green tones of water and yellow watercolor. It faces west and overlooks the courtyard, offering calm and brightness. To the left, the water closet. In front of the entrance, you enter the charming lounge-dining room, cozy and bright. The dining area is located next to the equipped kitchen, which opens on your left. Opposite, another corner door opens onto an independent shower room, in light brown harmony tones. The cabin has a large "Rainshower" shower head, as well as a flexible shower head. The visit ends with the Master suite of this apartment on the banks of the seine. The room also has a westward orientation, with a small office corner and a tidy storage space behind a daring jade-colored wall. This room has an en-suite bathroom. The bathtub is equipped with a large shower head and a hand shower. The bedding & washrooms The sleeping space of this apartment on the banks of the seine comprises of: 1 bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200) and en-suite bathroom; 1 bedroom with two single beds (2 x 80 x 200 or 160 x 200); 1 double sofa bed (160 x 200) located in the living space; 1 independent shower room; 1 separate toilet. The neighborhood Located between the Pont Neuf, which, as its name does not indicate it, is the oldest stone bridge in the capital, as well as the Pont au Change, rebuilt in the Second Empire and bearing the imperial monogram of Napoleon III, This apartment on the banks of the seine is located in the historic heart of Paris, between the two medieval symbols of the Saint Germain l'Auxerrois church, famous for its western façade in Gothic style and the Tour Saint Jacques, or what remains today of the former church of Saint-Jacques La Boucherie. Today, the Saint-Germain l'Auxerrois district has nothing to envy to its namesake on the left bank, Saint-Germain-des-Prés: the rue de Rivoli and its countless boutiques are very close, as is the Quai de la Mégisserie, traditional place of pet stores. The neighborhood is full of typical Parisian cafés and restaurants, such as the Zimmer Place du Chatelet, with its opulent red velvet decor. In a completely different style, the audacious Kong invites us to discover an atypical space under glass roof, designed by the decorator Philippe Starck. The place is one of the most fashionable in the capital; One comes here to see and to be seen, but also to admire its unparalleled view over the roof tops of Paris. The cultural life is in full swing around this apartment on the banks of the seine, one is in the heart of Paris of cinema. On the Place du Châtelet, two venerable institutions face each other: the Théâtre du Châtelet, which has hosted the Césars awards since 2002, and the Théâtre de la Ville, which was the personal theater of the famous singer Sarah Bernhardt. The Pont Neuf and the Pont au Change will both take you in a few minutes walk to the Île de la Cité, the cradle of Paris, which still has many monuments as inevitable as venerable: Notre-Dame de Paris, Sainte-Chapelle and Palace of the Conciergerie. There is also, Quai des Orfèvres, the exceptional setting of the Sequana restaurant for an exotic culinary and sensory stop. As for dessert, one can not afford to miss Berthillon who has been elaborating since 1954 his now famous sorbets
