Villa Romane is a spacious stone-built holiday villa in Provence with its own magnificent Roman-style colonnaded circular swimming pool. The house is superbly located, offering wonderful panoramic views of Provence and the Rhone valley. It's just 1.5km out of the historic medieval town of Beaucaire with its tree-lined colourful marina. There are countless restaurants, cafès, shops, supermarkets and boulangeries within walking distance. Despite its close proximity to nearby amenities, the high walls surrounding the villa and its tranquil hilltiop location makes for a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, so you have the best of both worlds.  The main villa can sleep 12 guests in its 6 large double bedrooms, some of which can be converted into twin beds if preferred. It also boasts five bath/shower rooms, three large reception rooms and a fully-fitted kitchen. The separate dining area and the al-fresco dining terrace are both great places for entertaining and serving delicious home-cooked meals. If you require extra, separate accommodation at Villa Romane, then 'La Petite Villa Romane' can accommodate up to 3 extra guests in style and comfort (as featured in the photographs). It is a charming one-bedroom single-storey cottage tucked away in the corner of the gardens of the main villa which accommodates 1, 2 or 3 people. It is perfect for an older couple who may wish to have peace and quiet, separate from, but near to the main villa; or for a romantic couple who would like total privacy; or for a family of 3 (or possibly 4  - as there is a baby-cot); or to accommodate staff who travel with the family - for instance a nanny, where you need them to be nearby, but like them to have separate accommodation. The 'Petite Villa' is charmingly furnished and decorated in an authentic Provencal style with beautiful tapestries adorning the walls. Both the living room and bedroom have glazed double-doors opening directly out on to the shaded sun-terrace and the secluded and totally private 'petite' garden. The spectacular circular pool was built in the style of a Roman colonnaded arena and can be illuminated at night. The poolside terrace with its summer kitchen, barbecue, sun terrace and shaded summer lounge is a real feature of this fantastic French holiday villa, and coupled with the views from the terrace, can only be described as paradise! There is plenty to explore in this charming area of Provence, with beautiful and historic towns such as Avignon, Nimes and Arles as well as the chic and fashionable St. Remy de Provence and Uzes, all within a short driving distance. Also not to be missed are visits to the Pont du Gard, the Luberon and the Camargue. /n Security deposit /n £500 for parties of up to 8 guests, £1000 for larger parties. The security deposit paid via credit card to the owner before the arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection. /n Arrival time /n 4.00 p.m. /n Departure time /n 10.00 a.m. /n Energy costs included? /n Included in the rental price. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit. /n Changeover day /n Saturday in June, July and August. Flexible during all other periods. /n Smoking Allowed? /n Outside only. /n Insurance /n It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover against potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property. /n Pool opening dates? /n The pool is open approximately from May to end-October inclusive. Please note that pool opening dates are subject to local weather conditions and pool maintenance requirements and that cooler months may not be suitable for swimming.
