Annatto Estate is a grandiose holiday home that sits on two acres of immaculately-kept tropical gardens. The glamourous home has been visited by movie stars Greta Garbo and Claudette Colbert. The home was designed by renowned English designer and architect Oliver Messel who stayed here during the 1950’s and became inspired, as you will likely be too.
Annatto Estate is like a palace and boasts stunning trees, plants and well-kept lawns. The inside and outside and connected, allowing you to effortlessly flow in between them. The home’s veranda possesses cosy sofas and a dining area overlooking the pool and sea. There are two small sheltered seating areas at the end of the pool that sit amongst the garden’s towering palm trees.
Inside, guests can admire the charming pastel colour palette and quaint ornaments and furniture which all complement each other. It is clear that a lot of thought and effort has gone into the design process. Beautiful little touches such as vibrant plants, artworks and artistic lamps and ornaments can be seen throughout the villa, adding to its unique and opulent character. The striking dining room opens out onto the gardens and possesses stone walls, a crystal chandelier, and stone statues. This is fine dining at its best!
One of the villa’s bedrooms comes complete with curtains around the bed, offering complete privacy for a serene sleep.
